    If your shapekeys going from blender to unity are screwed up where not all vertices are moving. This addon fixes it.

    I used FBX Binary, ver 2020, i kept optimize for Game Engine on which seemed fine, every other setting is prob user preference. Worked like a charm though. If it doesnt immediately work for you just play around with the settings

    The fbx exported from C4D won't import and load. It contains rigging and animation, and it's over 100mb files.

    I turned off auto-rigging but it still doesn't work and I don't know how to fix it

    The blender version is 4.2LTS and fbx is 7.7
    The blender stops as soon as you bring it in and if it's hard to solve
    I want a refund process

    I had been struggling with the default Blender Fbx Importer for some times, trying multiple solution, and i try this, only had to disable automatic bone orientation and it worked flawlessly.

    Hey! I'm pretty happy with this plugin, however it lacks on crucial (for me) option - Force Start/End Keying Toggle from default FBX Blender exporter. When I want to export animation without rotation or position Better FBX Exporter is adding those keyframes, which is big pita for me... Or I'm missing something. Would love to see it, or make it happen other way, and change my rating to 5 star. Any thoughts?

    Uggg, I don't want to leave a bad review but I've tried reading all documentation and i think I've hit a wall. Okay so I'm a game developer working in unreal. The exporter is great in terms of bringing in the bones with X facing (whatever you need really) which is critical for control rig. Also does fix the whole armature scale set to 100 problem blender has. which unreal also really hates.. However, I cant seem to get the animation files to actually work anymore, it just spits out blank animation files that have my actions on them but no keyframes. whats even more frustrating is that it did work at the very beginning and now it has stopped working, if this issue is addressed ill be changing my review to 5 stars because it is handling the bones so well and that is no easy task. I currently cant figure out how to export the animations to the length of the action and not the timeline length, Something blender actually does really well. However, blank animations is pretty much useless for me. I hope we can resolve this! Cheers.

      Hello Alex, if you import UE Rig to Blender as Rigify Armature, you need select both the character and the Rigify Armature, and enable 'Selected Objects' and 'Rigify Armature' when exporting to FBX file. If you still have problems, please click the 'Ask a Question' button to contact me.

    I can't use the addon at all .. i tried exporting everything .. i even tried the default cube out of desperation .. i played with every setting combination possible, but i alway get this error right here .. i asked chatGPT but i can't seem to fix this on my own ..
    can you help ?

      This error means that you may using an earlier version for Blender 3.x, please download v5.4.18, remove the add-on and re-install the add-on again, don't forget to restart Blender after installation.

    Worked perfectly for me with an FBX file that was loading completely incorrectly using the default FBX loader on Blender 4.1.1 on mac. Textures, animations, everything loaded and ran correctly.

      I have confirmed that it is a false positive. I had erased my hard disk and recovered macOS to factory, then I compiled the source code in the completely clean machine, but a few anti-virus softwares still report virus, and the other anti-virus softwares simply copy the report, my Norton 360 and Avira Security reported the product as safe.

      Please test with the default scene when Blender started to see if the add-on works, and verify that you are not using the Microsoft Store version of Blender, details in the FAQ page.

    Generally really good. I just wanted to report that in the latest version (better_fbx-5.4.18) Windows Defender reported a trojan in the downloaded fbx. This isn't the case for the older version I'm currently using, so I thought I'd just alert you to that.
