Really love this tool as it has sped up some of my UE workflows. I do really wish that the facial rig could be setup in a way for metahumans so that I could easily take metahuman facial recordings and plop them right onto an auto rig face. Is there a plan for something like that in a future release?

      Hello Jonny,
Thanks for rating, while I have a quite busy Todo list already, metahuman compatibility is something that could be worked on in the future.

This is great but retargeting is still broken in Blender 4.0, when trying to retarget from Mixamo to my rigged character it says "attribute error: NoneType object is visible does not exist" it would be great to be able to use this again

Hello Matt, the Remap tool has been tested and it works fine here on Blender 4. Maybe something something specific is leading to a malfunction in your case. Feel free to send a support message with your blend file attached ("Ask a Question" button on the right on this page), I will investigate if necessary.

Speeds up Rigging workflow substantially. It's currently broken in Blender 4.0 (I know, I read the post), I had to kept using 3.6. But I hope it brings in the new Rigify features. If I recall, I think they ported CloudRig's B-Bones (Bendy Bones) to 4.0, I've been playing around with it, and it seems very promising with Automatic Weights

Hello Jelly, the new update will be released this week. Maybe today or tomorrow if things go well. The challenge is I want it to be backward-compatible with older Blender versions too (3.6, 3.5...). It has proven to work so far, but it takes more time than a simple update.

I went from barely getting anything done futzing with janky rigify solutions to a damn near seamless and easy create > animate > export workflow from blender to godot.

I absolutely love ARP even without understanding half of it's features. Best tool I've ever spent money on for game dev.

Can you make the Rig Export For Unreal Engine 5 mannequin skeleton

    • Artell

Hello Kaan, the exporter works by default for UE5 humanoid skeletons, if Unreal Engine is selected in the export setting, and "UE4 Legacy" turned off.

So I purchased the Auto-Rig Pro addon for $40, according to a recommendations.

Then I tried the Smart feature, it crashes my computer more often than not.

I contacted the dev about it, they gave up and said there's no way to fix this problem, and asked if I would like a refund. Didn't even ask me for a screenshot, or a more precise description of the problem.

So just for education, I looked at why it hung and found that it was a memory leak. I isolated the problem down to some specific rendering method and fixed it. Anyway, the technical details doesn't matter. Point being, the bug was quite easily identified and fixed.

While looking through the code, I saw that it of substandard quality. So I issued a refund request to Blender Market, saying that since the code is bad, and whenever I encounter a problem in the future the developer wouldn't be willing to help me, I don't wanna risk using this tool in my pipeline.

Blender Market was like "I saw that you already talked to the developer and they assisted you in solving the problem". I said they were lying since I fixed the bug myself. They said "No one is lying", and repeated what they said, in the fashion of ChatGPT. The gist of it is that I can't get a refund because there was no fault in the product (even though there *would* be, if I hadn't fixed it myself).

So I asked the dev whether they could get a refund, since I no longer wanna use their addon. I got back a schmuck response saying how my solution was a "hack" and that they would have no proof of me not using the product again so they can't give me the refund.

I told them , just keep my money if you want it so much.

Anyway, I just wanna spread the word about this. Don't pay these people, folks!

This customer crossed the line. He reported a memory leak issue when running ARP on a Macbook Pro 2019. While the point may be true, I could not validate it because I had no Macbook Pro 2019 to verify, but I never contested it. However, this is the first time this bug is reported out of 37.000 customers, it must be taken carefully with a grain of salt: it may be related to his graphic drivers or other conflicts with his environment. He eventually found a fix himself and claimed he was happy like this. The day after, he surprisingly changed his mind, required a refund, claiming the code quality was bad for his expectations, and ended up throwing insults and broke any codes of conduct. Enough is enough, this user has been flagged to the BM administrators.
