A bit of a buggy mess when used in conjunction with Auto Rig Pro. Body parts stop moving all of a sudden. Even restarting Blender doesn't help restore the animation to original state. Exporting to UE4 results in occasional bad bone rotation. Once Animation Layers is enabled, disabling it causes further problems with animations going weird. There must be certain rules one has to follow to avoid encountering unexpected results, perhaps things like don't use IK with Auto Rig Pro when also using Animation Layers. Or maybe just dont use ARP and AL together. Both authors should collaborate to improve user experience. Without Auto Rig Pro, its probably a good experience but I wouldn't know as I need to use Auto Rig Pro to get animations into UE4 in a desirable form.

Hi James, thanks for the review. I'm testing the addon with ARP as well. I haven't run into any issues, and didn't get any bug reports recently. The only thing I know is that you need to merge all the layer before exporting, because ARP doesn't export from the NLA. If you running into specific issues then you are more then welcome to do a bug report. If you have a file to test then it would be even better

A real problem solver. Simple examples:
    1. A character walking up a hill with variable terrain can have all the hill climbing animation added on top of the walk cycle.

    2. After loading mocap on a character, additional channel layers can be added for hand animation on top of the motion capture.

This makes animation re-use so much easier.

Is an amazing addons, totally worth it.

I hope developer separate section of the UI so you can hide some of the UI (i.e.. active action, keyframes from multi layers) until you really need it.

Thanks for the review. You were right, it started to get too crowded so I've added sub panels in the latest version

I actually deliberately stopped doing my project to spare a few moments to rate this tool as FANTASTIC! I've been using it steadily for the last month, gaining skill and confidence. I can't and won't work without it - enhanced all my animation outcomes, eased my anxiety with messed up animations. Dons my Superwoman cape and gets back to work (aka play), lol. Thank you bunches - very highly recommended!!

In general this is a great plugin. Two things that I didn't like though:
    * Smart baking does not preserve original animation. There are errors in its analysis that can be seen in the final bake.
    * It only works on bones, and not general object animation. Not a big deal, though.

Thanks for the feedback and review.
*Smart bake preserve keyframe values and handle types, however it still doesn't preserve handle values. If you finalize an animation and need precision, then it's better to use normal bake
*Smart bake should also work with objects.
If you run into any issues, then please feel free to report me about it.

For me, it just works. I was so relieved to find this add on for editing mocap animations. Five minutes into using the addon the $25 felt totally worth it.

The only addon I've purchased and it's been clean and easy to use. I don't use it atop anything other than basic keyframing and it's just what I wanted out of the system.
There are some minor grievances, merging layers seems to add keyframes in every frame which can make the graph editor overly complicated without cleanup, but merging is rarely necessary.
Good addon, should really be what Blender ships with by default.

Thanks for the review and feedback. If you want to keep your overall keyframe count, then you can merge with smart bake. However if you need 100% bake percision then baking on every frame is still more precise.
I will also add more baking options and other features in the near future. Make sure that you are currently using version 1.7 or above to be able to get automatic updates.
