  When it works, its great. However, it only works about 2% of the time. I've tried every setting possible and my results come out completely unusable almost every time. it also crashes after every single bake. I've used this addon for weeks and have been nothing but frustrated. Even on very low poly objects, the bakes come out garbage and it crashes. I was really excited about this addon because baking is a huge pain. It should be easier than this and not soul crushing. I hate that I wasted my money.

The aim of SimpleBake is to enhance and simplify the baking experience, not to replace the foundational knowledge necessary for baking textures effectively in Blender.

  I understand that not everyone finds the same tools intuitive, particularly if they are unfamiliar with the underlying process. If options are selected without an understanding of their purpose, the results can often be unpredictable. However, we do offer several resources to help users make the most of SimpleBake, including YouTube tutorials, a comprehensive FAQ, and a Discord community. You are also welcome to contact me directly via BlenderMarket, though I am unable to provide personalised lessons or workflow advice.

  I've been using SimpleBake for more than a year and it's incredible. I appreciate the red "tips" it provides when I'm filling out the options I want. I've never had any crashes or issues. This is a must have addon for my workflow.

  On one of my PCs it works fine, on another keeps crashing Blender no matter what I do. Both PC are powerful enough to handle texture baking (Ryzen 9 5th gen and RTX 4090/3080).
  Since I can't use it everywhere, I can't include it in my workflow.

  Also keep in mind that you won't get updates for this addon from Blender Market. Instead you have to download them from the author's server. And the author blocks access to his server from selected countries and does not specify about that in the product description (currently it's Russia, but who knows what country the author starts to dislike next, maybe China?) . So if you're from Russia, you must use VPN to get access to the latest version. Or just don't use this addon, because no one should tolerate this kind of segregation. I didn't know about the update issue, otherwise I wouldn't have bought this addon. Author might tell you that he can send you new updates manually. But he releases new versions much faster than he can respond to your message.

  Also if you download updates from the author server with the update button from Blender, you can't really check what you are downloading, which could lead to potential security breach. In comparison, when I download an archive from Blender Market, at least I can check it first before use.

  If all of this is fine for you, then this addon might be a good purchase.

  I'm not sure how you're supposed to get PBR materials out of Blender without this. I fiddled with nodes and textures and just about everything every tutorial told me to do with no luck.
  But with this, it's just click click export. Best purchase I've ever made.

  the workflow is nice but it is so prone to crashes and updates have not fixing any of that.

  Great plug-in - I'm wondering does this work with the Displacement node in the material output? I've tried baking Bump maps but they're showing up empty.

  Yes - the ability to bake Displacement maps was added in 1.4.4 :-)

  Terrific addon with quality updates and support; an absolute life saver for those of us who enjoy creating convoluted procedural materials and want to have some hope of exporting them in standard formats.

  Hi. Just purchased this addon as I wanted to try out the packing of multiple object UVs onto one UV map. The result from that is excellent, although to achieve the same level of detail I had from my Substance Painter maps (which were baked in 2K) I had to bake in Simplebake at 4k. To do this I had to bake each map (diffuse, metalness, Roughness and normal maps) one at a time as the addon crashed Blender. It is a shame even though the baking is incredible, it does slow the process somewhat.
