I had rough times with this add, I see the potential, but I find it quite hard to to play with it, maybe I need more time.
Overall it wont match the quality of a real hdri, the clouds are very poor even though it s cool to have them, they dont look real at all.
I also find the presets very poor, and not very helpful.
I also had trouble when I was switching to hdri, psa leaves things even tho you erase it.
I will it more time and chance, and update my comment, but for now i am disappointed.

It worked well until the last versions. Sometimes it simply doesn´t work. I wish to know why, but after spending hours triyin even to know under which circunstances it happen, I can only say this: At some point the add doesn´t repond to the changes you made in the interface. And there is also a problem with the Alpha tree add on. I can say that once I add an alpha tree element, PSA stop responding. This is the most recent problem but before this there was another problem with alpha trees: The PSA fog material doesn´t work properly, because the fog can be seen in the transparent areas of the alpha tree planes, which is not good and create a weird effect. (alpha tree uses images with alha channel to recreate trees)

The add-on looks nice but it causes a lot of bugs with world setting, when it's not the world going black after chaging or re-activating the add-on or replacing it with an HDRI, it's the settings not reacting to changes or the clouds not showing up...

Also for an add-on this pricey the updates come very slow and never fixed the issues mentioned above, you don't get a moon light setting and/or texture to render night scenes either.

I would recommend this add-on if you find it on sale, but for the full price I think it has too many issues and less features than it should.

Thank you for your feedback, David!
Due to multiple circumstances fixing the material fog issue (that causes broken/black materials) got delayed, but we are working to release it this week. Regarding settings that are not updating and clouds that are not showing up - could you please send steps to reproduce these issues on our Discord #help section (https://discord.gg/wvzPVzj9Vr) and I will get back to you ASAP. About star textures - feel free to ping us on Discord and we'll point you to the NASA official textures.

I have been working on a project for some time and from the very beginning I have had a problem with proper stage lighting and color reproduction. I bought a PSA in 3 minutes, ultimately just to test the possibilities, I set the sliders at my discretion and suddenly it turned out that I solved the problem in 150% because the final render looks much more realistic, which I did not expect. A simple thing, I recommend it very much, because it gives great results, does not burden so much, and the time saved is priceless.

I agree with Hanterdro. This addon is fantastic! The clouds system just needs to be flexed out some more.

I had seen the previews, trailers and examples of how cool PSA was, so when I chose to purchase it I got very disappointed when PSA seemingly caused issues with Blender, didn´t preview in Cycles and had all sorts of issues.
I was ready to leave a 1-star review and move on to a better solution, but decided to reach out to the PSA support on Discord. I honestly expected to wait a few days to get a response, but I must admit that all of my preconceived notions were brought to shame.
Not only did they respond almost instantly, but I also found out that most of the issues stemmed from an unrelated, corrupt Blender file and some mysterious issues with the Blender prefs. Now, PSA works as I hoped and while I still have a lot of experimenting to do to get the results I am going for, there is no doubt that this addon is a game-changer in terms of ease-of-use, flexibility and options.

This is in my opinion the best sky addon so far.
    But why only 4 stars?

    - The clouds looks pretty underwelming (I would recommend using VDBs clouds)
    - The development of this addon feels super slow (in comparsion to other Blender addons)

However, I still highly recommend this addon. Works for me better than any other sky addon which is currently availibe.

I chose this Addon instead of Pure-Sky Pro. I'm not sure yet if I made the right choice? The sky presets that ship with this Addon are now in a Blend File that can be used in Blender's Asset Browser. However, when I open the Preset Blend File the the thumbnail images of the preset skies look great, but in some cases the render view in Blender looks nothing like the thumbnail image that represents it (e.g. tatooine, retrowave) and I can't see much change between any of these presets really? So, I'm not sure if there's something wrong with the shipped presets and think this needs looking into, and when corrected, maybe a few more could be included to get people started with this Addon?

The clouds are a great idea in this product but they are not volumetric and could do with a bit more work to improve thier quality and usability. I think that as they currently are they can be useful for background distant views, but I suppose you could have a go at making your own volumetric clouds to use to supplement / replace the ones generated in this Addon - see the link here: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTHmdLVcieI&list=WL&index=9&t=31s).

I also think an option to add a moons and a range of planet types into the scene would be a great addition to this Addon. And if this along with the other points / issues I've raised were dealt with, I think this Addon would possibly be the number one Addon in this space?

      Hi Neil,
Thank you for your feedback! Indeed there's an issue where when applying the World asset it doesn't refresh the azimuth/elevation values and the generated atmosphere may look completely different than the one in the image, although it is a screenshot of the asset. There will be a hot-fix this week regarding this issue.

In this addon, we have implemented a simple, but quite sophisticated (fast as they are procedurally generated and good for most cases) version of clouds. There is a future plan to develop advanced clouds as a separate addon as it is quite extensive work that has to be done in order to provide realistic and physically accurate clouds that perform well.

Regarding planets - in the upcoming month we are about to release a new addon called Physical Celestial Objects (PCO) which would let you create physically accurate planets on a real scale with just a few clicks. You can see the progress of this addon in our Discord channel (https://discord.gg/wvzPVzj9Vr) #showcase section.

Thank you again for taking your time and writing the review <3!
