PBR Plastic Shader
What is the PBR Plastic Shader?
- The « PBR Plastic Shader » is made with procedural bump maps to simulate granularity and impacts on the surface of the object.
- SSS and/ or translucency are already manageable with the node
- Maps can manage the SSS
- Additional bump maps can be use
- All the settings are adjustable with sliders in the shader node
This shader works fine for many kinds of plastics.
You don't need UV unwrapping as long as you don't use maps of your own.
Ideal for lego plastic
At the beginning, I started developing this shader while working on a this Walking dead lego animation. Even though the video was released, I kept on working to it. Making it more realistic, adding SSS and translucency. And finally the procedural bumps and impacts.
