Light Control Add-on: Installation and Configuration Guide

Attention

• Light Control is now a Multi-File Addon.
• If you have version 1.0.8 (Single-File Addon) or lower installed, it must be uninstalled first.
• Restart Blender after uninstalling, then install the new version.

Installation Steps

1. Download:

   • Obtain the .zip file provided with your purchase.
   • ⚠️ Do not extract the file.

2. Install:

   • Open Blender.
   • Navigate to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install.
   • Locate and select the downloaded .zip file.

3. Activate:

   • Find "Light Control" in the add-on list.
   • Enable it by checking the box next to its name.

• Winding, to rotate the light around itself (normal axis) (W)

• Shortcuts Tab in preferences - they show all hidden and shown shortcuts
• Alternative method of switching lights in preferences shortcuts tab
• Overlay Toggle Option: Choose whether all overlays are hidden when entering Light Mode
• Cursor Option: Set the default cursor when entering Light Edit mode (default: "Cross")
• Improvements
• Raycasting Instances: Now fully functional
• Orthogonal Camera Support: Light actions are compatible with orthogonal cameras
• Pivots Handling: More reliable behavior when lights are moved outside of Light Control
• Parenting lights works better with the updated pivot system
• Light Gizmos: Gizmos are now occluded when behind objects (Workbench Only - hopefully later for Cycles too)
• Reset to the original value when toggling between modes in an Operator(e.G. Snap and Move)
