Geo-Buildings

by AntonKe in Models

Can I edit the parts of the building?
Yes. After creating the desired building, apply geometry nodes modifier, and edit any part of the building or add any additional materials.
Can I create my own props or adjust existing ones?
Both are possible. You can create you own props by using the existing ones as a reference. The props, just like the building, should have a volume, to work best. A new prop can be added to the assets collection sub-folder, based on its type.
What kind of geometry can be used for making buildings?
The main requirement is that the geometry has a volume inside, in order the cutters to work best. The geometry should be a single mesh, best with a quad based rectangular geometry. The buildings can have different angles, extrusions and insets. If the cutters cause artefacts, to fix it simply adjust the geometry or select a different seed that will change the arrangement of props.
Which blender engines can be used for rendering the models?
Rendering will work well with both Cycles and Eevee engines.
How to set up GeoBuildings?
Simply save and open the blend file and start modelling. If needed, textures can be unpacked into the same folder location where the blend file is.
What does the product include?
The product has a base model (a cube) with full geometry nodes setup. Also, the blender file has all props that were shown in the previews. Materials and textures are packed both into .blend file and a separate zip file.
Which blender versions can it run?
The most recent v1.1 version runs on blender 4.0, 4.1, 4.2+. There is a legacy version, that supports blender 3.0+ versions, but it will not have the most recent features.
