This is an addon for real-time facial motion capture. It works with any webcam compatible with your computer and is supported on Windows and macOS Apple Silicon.

The Face Cap X addon works with rigs created using the Auto-Rig Pro addon. If you don’t yet have a rig made with Auto-Rig Pro, you can download a free sample rig provided by them at this link

Face Cap X version 1.5.0 is compatible with Blender versions 3.2 up to 4.1, while Face Cap X version 2.0.0 works with Blender version 4.2.0 and above.

Eye tracking is not available.

On macOS, to run the addon, you need to launch Blender from the terminal using the following command:
/Applications/Blender.app/Contents/MacOS/Blender
You can copy and paste it into the terminal. If you have multiple versions of Blender and, for example, named it Blender 4.2, the command would be:
/Applications/Blender\ 4.2.app/Contents/MacOS/Blender
