Blender is a very powerful tool, and where it lucks the addon community is there to bridge the gap,

Today we are bridging the texturing gap, most texturing can be done inside blender with no problem, but when you need text or  vector shapes drawn on your textures you will find there is no available tools to use, until now. 

this is what the texture decal designer is for.

The tools to make blender become a Photoshop alternative are already there, its the functionality and workflow that's lucking, and this is the first step to getting there.
