this addon a genius sky-making system.

If it were true, you couldn't buy it for $10.

Cheap, but pretty and easy to use, plus it works flawlessly with the Sun Position add-on. The night skies especially are gorgeous - and like the daytime sky it changes as the moon crosses the sky. It's actually pretty realistic - still a bit stylized, but not too toony unless you lower the detail, everything still leans towards mostly realistic. Sunset clouds were a little too red for my taste, but easy to fix with an HSV node.

    Two complaints:
    1) The night sky and day sky are entirely separate separate world systems in separate blend files. It wasn't too much trouble to combine them, even setup a driver to switch to night when the sun goes down.
    2) There's no overcast/stormy setting. This was a mistake on my part, nothing says there's an overcast or stormy sky, but if you buy this expecting one, realize you'll need to hack one in yourself.

That said, the nodes are all very clearly labeled and organized so anyone familiar with the world/shading node editor should be able to modify and extend its functionality as needed after studying it a bit. I've had fun with it.

Hi, thanks for your kind feedback. I did actually make a stormy sky, dm me if you'd like a copy. I'm also considering turning it into an add-on to make it easier to setup, update, switch sun and moon and for users less savy with nodes.
