Stop-Mo
Stop Mo is simple to use! Check out my YouTube Channel for a video tutorial. Also linked on the main page.
This add on is intended for characters, but works on some objects. Select your object and apply. It will then apply the effect to all animated bones. It works on some objects and other elements as well, but not guaranteed to work outside of character rigs.
Panel:
- Add/Remove Modifiers
- Apply Steps: Apply stop-mo to selected objects.
- Remove Steps: Removes stop-mo from objects.
- Select Objects: Selects objects where stop-mo has been applied.
- Controls:
- Step Amount: How many frames between displayed keyframes. I recommend twos. Make sure your keyframes land on 2's or you may get jittery results.
- Start Frame: When the effect begins. Useful for animating portions on 1s.
- End Frame: When the effect ends.
- Currently not possible to do more than one range. Example. You can't go from frame 20-60 and then frame 90-180.
- Texture:
- Add Animation: Open the shader window and click the mapping node. This adds for rotation keyframes to the z value.
- Step/Loop: Adds constant interpolation and cyclic modifiers to selected keyframes!
