Speckled Plastics Shader Collection For Kitops

by Afrikaniz3D in Surfacing

Update 3 [20211221]

Last update for the year introduces the Ombre shader - basically the introduction of a duotone gradient to the main body colour. The recent release of Blender 3.0 was also a great prompt to got back to the nodes and rework some other bits. The result is a little bit more control. This now brings the number of variants to three (3).

There's more than likely going to be more additions as time passes, but this collection is starting to look and feel like something I don't feel wretched about charging money for - when you take events like Nodevember into consideration.

Update 2 [20210604]

The PolySpeck Update Introduces a some improvements to the shader that are part of the first significate update. This roadmap describes the current progress.

Over and above the addition of an additional speck in the shader, customization was the main priority of this update.

The consolidation of many features into one group node make using this shader more enjoyable and encourages experimentation.

Final Remarks

1.     Thank you to those who were part of the early buy-in when the shaders were a lot simpler and the nodework was ((clears throat)). The small handful of you have been the motivation to improve the product and give you something I hope you'll look back at as a worthwhile purchase

2.    Thank you to "Gregory Ginzburg" for their permission and assistance with updating this shader with regards to multiple speckles as well as better control - inspiration was drawn from their "Terrazzo" shader found here: [https://gumroad.com/l/uIQzz]

3.    The next update is already in the works. No date has been set, but expect something cool.

Till then, thanks for the support and let me know how it's going and what you'd like to see.

Also, please consider leaving a rating. It helps the product's visibility and lets me know where I can improve things if needed.

Update 1 [20210510]

The "Neutrals" sub-collection has been added. The initial release was designed to be bright and eye-catching as a first impression whereas this addition serves to add some grounding for those that may prefer more subdued chromatic scales.
