READ ME

The Smooth Mesh Fill addon is visible in Edit Mode in the Sidebar (hotkey N) > Smooth Mesh Fill. First, select one or multiple mesh boundaries. Using the default keymap, this can be done by double-clicking one boundary edge while holding ALT. It can also be done by first making a selection which includes one or more boundary edges and then pressing "Detect Boundaries In Selection". This will automatically select all hole boundaries that touch anywhere in the selection and de-select all non-boundary edges. Press "Smooth Mesh Fill" to create an interpolated patch for the defect.

* Patch Density
This value determines the mesh density of the patch. Increasing this value will create a patch with more triangles, but the process will be more time-consuming. If the addon fails to repair a mesh defect, it is often a good start to increase the Patch Density.

* Enhance Details
This number will affect the amount of detail in the patch (ranging from 0 to 10). Decreasing this value will produce a flatter patch, while increasing will allow a surface with more details.

* Smooth Neighborhood
This factor influences the amount of smoothing for the geometry that surrounds the patch (ranging from 0 to 10). Set this to 0 if the changes to the original geometry should be avoided. Increase the value to create a better transition of the original geometry with the patch.
