Installation

Step 1: Download the Addon

1. Save the .zip file of the addon to your computer.

Step 2: Install in Blender

1. Open Blender and go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
2. Click Install and select the downloaded .zip file.
3. Enable the addon by checking the box next to its name.

Usage

Step 1: Open the Image Editor

1. Switch to the Image Editor workspace in Blender.
2. Open the sidebar by pressing N if it’s hidden.

Step 2: Access the Addon

1. Navigate to the Background Removal tab in the sidebar.

Step 3: Remove the Background

1. Select your input image using the Image field.
2. Click Remove Background to send the image to the API for processing.
3. The processed image will automatically load into the Image Editor.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

1. Addon Not Installing Properly:

   • Ensure you’re using Blender 3.6 or later.
   • Verify Python dependencies are installed correctly.

2. API Connection Error:

   • Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
   • Confirm the API is operational and accessible.

3. Output Not Displaying:

   • Check the Temporary Files folder for the processed image:
     • Windows: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp
     • Mac/Linux: /tmp

Settings and Properties

• Image Path: File path to the input image.
• Remove Background: Button to process the image.

Uninstallation

1. Go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
2. Search for "Background Removal" and click Remove.
3. Optionally, delete any temporary files generated by the addon.
