The Random Color Generator add-on for Blender is designed to generate random RGB colors that can be used directly within Blender materials. The add-on also includes a complementary color option and the ability to create a custom color palette. The generated colors are displayed in Blender’s viewport for an immediate preview.

Usage

  1. Install and enable the add-on from Blender’s preferences.
  2. Open the add-on panel in the 3D Viewport under Color Gen.
  3. Click Generate to create a random color.
  4. Use the Create Material with Color button to apply the color to the selected object.
  5. View complementary colors and palette in the panel.

Installation

  1. In Blender, go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install.
  2. Select the add-on .zip file and click Install Add-on.
  3. Enable the add-on by checking the box next to Random Color Generator.

Notes

  • The add-on works best in Blender 4.0+.
  • Ensure the active object is a mesh to apply the generated material.
