Procedural Skin Shader

How to use

From your Blender project, go to 'File' > 'Append...' and search 'procedural-skin-v103.blend' > 'Materials' > 'skin_103', and you will have the new material imported to your project.

Now, apply it on your object, and you will find a Custom node with 8 parameters:

/ Birthmarks density [Increases or decreases the amount of birthmarks].

/ Pimple density [Increases or decreases the amount of pimples].

/ Seed [Modifies the random seed].

/ Subsurface [Directly linked to the Principled BSDF (around 0.02 works fine for a 2x2 object, the bigger your object is, the bigger the 'Subsurface' value will need to be)].

/ Depth [Increases or decreases the displacement of the texture].

/ Light - Dark [Controls the color of the skin].

/ Birthmarks scale [Increases or decreases the size of birthmarks (smaller values result on bigger size)].

/ Pimples scale [Increases or decreases the size of pimples (smaller values result on bigger size)].

/ Texture scale [Increases or decreases the size of the skin patter (smaller values result on bigger size)].


Important:

/ Make sure to enable 'Displacement only' for the "Displacement" value in your object material settings.

/ You will need a dense mesh for the displacement node to be effective so, if your mesh is not dense enough, make sure to apply a 'Subdivision Surface' modifier to add density.
