Pom - Parallax Occlusion Mapping
How to use:
1. Append the POM Nodegroup into your scene.
2. Put the POM Node between your Mapping Node and your Image Texture.
3. Open the Heightmap Nodegroup and add your heightmap
4. Plug the Normal output into your Shader Normal Input.
- Strength controls the Depth of the "Displacement"
- Normal Strength controls the Strength of the Normal (not in use in current version 1.5.2, simply use the heightmap with a bump map node)
- Border Depth controls the height of the "Displacement" when seen from a lower angle (became unnecessary with version 1.5.2)
- Displacement Center (Z-Position in newer versions) regulates the position along the Z-Axis of the faces. Negative values usually look better, adjust this if you have unwanted ghosting effects.
- Iterations controls how many iterations are used to create the effect. The more iterations, the better the "displacement" but it also costs performance. (currently not available in version 1.5.2, locked at 24)
