Piano With Mechanic

by Theo Müller in Models

This is not just a simple piano model but one of the most detailed and with love crafted ones you can find online.

I spent 4 months measuring and modelling it from my reallife Zimmermann Piano from 1967 (Modell 105 S), which originally was built in Leipzig (Sächsische Pianofortefabrik Seifhennersdorf), Germany and later were taken over by C. Bechstein.

If you are searching for a piano model which lets you hear the sound by just looking at it then this is it!

- Face Count: 652,179

- Vertices: 768.700

- Dimensions: 1.4×0.5×1.1 m

You can lift the keys and see how each is connected to the base plate, the mechanic isnt just "good looking" from far away but is build after functionality and want to be explored by you! (yet its not rigged, but could be done by you if you want it happen)

Every part is opened, there is nothing to hide. I personally when playing this piano in reallife always let everything stay open for a richer sound. Thats why i didnt build a plate for hiding the mechanics.

I made it PBR and procedural.

Originally its procedurally made in Blender, means you can change the wooden structure (and everything else) within easy clicks.

I added the blendfile with the procedural model in it for you to customize it.

Why only 20$? Because i modelled it for myselfe and want to share the joy of a (for me) perfect piano model with others. Use it for whatever reason, i would be happy if you share it with me! And if someone is able to rig the key and mechanic movement...wow! That would be worth a nobel prize haha.
