The Cicada Rig blend file is lightweight with fast interaction for animation, but still has the option to hide the wing structure (veiny geo), should it be needed.

Recommendations

• link "CICADA_ASSET" to new scene and make a library override to avoid accidentally altering original blend file.
• set transform orientations to  "Gimbal" when animating controls.
• do not animate "ROOT" control.  This should be used for positioning and scaling the asset within the scene.
