Panels: Create A Comic Using Grease Pencil In Blender
I have created this course based on Ka-Blam's specifications for printing comics. There are plenty of print-on-demand services out there, and should you choose a different provider, it is always best to check what requirements they might need, specifically.
This course is primarily designed to get you familiar with a 2D tool inside a 3D program, and along the way, you will learn the basics of comic creation, from breaking down a script, through thumbnailing, all the way to producing files ready for print. Having a passion for drawing certainly doesn't hurt!
If you're going to do any sort of digital illustration, a drawing tablet is a must. There are so many tablets on the market now, and provided it works with your system, Blender can recognize it, and it has some degree of pressure sensitivity, you will be able to follow along with this course. If you must know, I currently use a refurbished Wacom Intuos Pro PTH-660 which I purchased back in 2018 and it still works great!
While a working knowledge of the Blender interface is recommended, you should be able to follow along even if you've never opened Blender before. In any case, should you wish to brush up your Blender knowledge, check out Jonathan Lampel's free Blender Basics course.
