Introduction of this book:
There is a need to gather information about earning money using blender.
We have tutorials regarding every topic under the sun. Yet, when it’s about earning money, the same few points are dished out.
1. Create a demo reel
2. Approach people
3. Get a job in a studio
Most of the ideas are geared towards established softwares like Maya or Max.
And for most of the time, it’s always about freelancing or a job.
The ideas for earning money through selling products or a service is almost non-existent.
I started freelancing in 2013, My first online gig was right from blenderartists’ paid section. Without knowing anything about freelancing in general, I started accepting all kinds of jobs.
In the process, I got ripped off, I earned money and I learned a lot of things too.
As for me, I don’t claim myself as a highly successful artist. The only Lamborghini I can afford is through blendermarket.
I however for the past 8 years have been reading books about business, freelancing and marketing.
I have been taking notes and trying to apply that to the blender landscape.
They were divided in my various notes, in my notepad files of my computer and in the form of images.
I have earned 1000s of dollars by doing freelance jobs for clients around the world and I have sold over 100 copies of my blender products.
If I had to summarize the entire book in the few words, it would be as follows:
First you need recognition and trust, you do that by creating your own content, on social media and YouTube. Content is key here, make stuff others find appealing enough to share.
Once you have a follower base, people will contact you for freelance jobs.
The problem with freelancing is that your time is connected to your income. You can never really go beyond a certain pay grade unless you hire people.
This is where selling products comes in handy. You sell the things you see making and reusing the most in your freelance jobs.
Selling products is disconnected to time, you can sell 1 to 10,000 products in a day. It’s up to your expertise.
In the process of writing this book, One doubt often creeped in my mind that am I qualified enough to write this book?
Am I successful enough to write this book?
Even though I may not be, there are literally no tutorials / blogs or books like this on earning money using blender.
If this book results in more qualified people making books on earning money
using blender, then by all means, buy those books over mine.
These are my own personal notes. Gathering these notes also helped me rearrange them in a proper order.
People always ask the question, “where do you see the industry changing in 5 years?” I always thought the opposite question
should be asked. “What advice would I give to my younger self ?”
Because the changes in the past 5 years may indicate a pattern that might carry on for the next 5 years.
I would give him this book and tell him to buy some facemasks.

In conclusion:
To be honest, I am scared. I have never published an e-book before, and I am nervous of the reception this might get.Tim Ferriss has a quote, “A person's success in life can usually be measured by the number of uncomfortable conversations he or she is willing to have.”
This is the book I wish I had when I started out.
I hope this e-book helps you the same way it would have helped me.
Thanking you,
-Vikrant Jadhav
