Settings/Properties

In the “Properties” subpanel, you will find all the necessary settings for controlling the addon. Here are the descriptions of all the settings:

  • Brightness: Controls the brightness/exposure of the color palette.
  • Gamma: Controls the gamma/contrast of the color palette.
  • Hue: Controls the hue/color shift of the color palette.
  • Saturation: Controls the saturation of the color palette, essentially controlling how colorful your color palette is.
  • Highlights/Midtones/Shadows: Controls the different light levels of the color palette.
  • Blur: Blurs the color palette/image that you are using. (Note: This will not work with the “Make Palette” option enabled.)
  • X/Y/Z Location: Controls the location of the color palette. The Z location can be quite useful if a contrasting color is at the bottom of the palette.
  • X/Y/Z Rotation: Controls the angle your palette is rotated. Useful for changing light direction.
  • X/Y/Z Scale: Controls the scale of your color palette. It’s not often required or recommended to change the scale values, but it can be useful in some situations.
  • Make Palette: Controls whether the image you are using will be turned into a color palette. It is recommended to leave this option enabled.
  • Palette Resolution: Controls how detailed your palette/image is. For example, a value of 3 is good for just getting the base colors of an image, while a value of 10 might be good for smaller details. A value of 3 is usually recommended.

Compatibility

The addon is compatible with:

  • Blender 4.1
