    Works well, but has some major limitations.

    - I prefer to keep my objects with a world 0,0,0 mirror, but this resets the mirror every time you use it. You can edit this quickly enough, but it's tiresome with a lot of objects.
    - It resets the pivot of the object to the centre. This is a deal breaker for me, as the origin is the joint position. Losing the origin defeats the point of this tool imo.

      I totally understand your point.
      What if i made it by default that the mirror planes are at the World 0,0,0 and that there is an extra button that lets you decide if you want the mirror plane is added to the selected (where the origin is)?
      And that the origin is left alone by default and that there is an extra button to set the origin of the selected object to Geometry if wanted. A button instead of right-click-->Set origin-->Origin to Geometry.
