Lfo Express
How to install:
1. Download LFO_Express.zip
2. Open Blender
3. Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Add-Ons and select "Install"
4. Locate & Select LFO_Express.zip
5. Check the box to enable LFO_Express.zip
How to use:
After enabling the add-on, find the "LFO" tab in the sidebar (hotkey "n")
Set the LFO settings how you would like. By default the cycle rate is in number of frames. If you want the LFO to be BPM synced, enable the BPM check-box. Now you can manipulate the rate by entering new division values. A division of 1 is a cycle on every 1/4th beat.
The amplitude is how far the LFO cycles away from the Base Value. The Base Value is the reference point on which the LFO operates.
For example if you have a base value of "0", and an amplitude of "1" the LFO will cycle between 0-1
If you enable "Bipolar" the same values will now cycle between -1 and +1
When ready, click the Copy LFO button.
You should see an indicator reading "LFO Driver Copied to Clipboard"
Now you can use this LFO to animate any attribute in Blender.
Hover your mouse of any attribute, and press CTRL+D (WINDOWS) or CMD+D (MAC). This creates a new driver.
In the "Expression Field" that pops up, press "CTRL+V (WINDOWS) or CMD+V (MAC). This pastes your LFO driver.
Now if you press play, the LFO will be actively driving or animating this attribute with the settings that you entered.
For example, in the case above, if we applied this to the "X" location value of the object, and press play, we would see the object animating between X=0 and X=1 based on our LFO settings.
That's pretty much it! Use this same method to apply LFOs to any attribute you want in Blender!
