Let me preface this by saying that this is a great product that I'm already enjoying using, and since I'm not sure if you can change a review once posted, I'm going to give it five stars for now, but there's still a couple of things that stop this from being perfect -- that said, it was just released and most of the stuff is easily adjustable with a little bit of Geo Nodes knowledge.

There's tons of options to choose from, and the experience is pretty seamless. Most of what you want is customizable, but there's a couple of things that I ran into right away:

There are some parameters that I wanted to adjust that I had to figure out how to do manually -- in particular the bar graph doesn't have a way to manually adjust each (or even one of) the actual bars, so I had to head in and figure out how to do that myself. As-is, they're running off of a noise texture which is perfect for some random animation in the background, but not for designing an actual HUD. For now I can hook up what I need myself, but I would love to see an update that addresses a couple of these usability features.

Similarly, I wanted to offset the text in the middle of one of the circle elements, but there was no built-in option for that either, so I had to hook it up manually.

Thirdly, not having any of the parameters exposed in the actual geo node group, and instead having to use the add-on's N-Panel is a little annoying as well. Having these inputs exposed would be great for anyone so accustomed to going to the modifier panel to adjust parameters.

The last gripe has to do with how the materials are assigned to the individual elements. It's great that you can click a button to make the material unique for that particular element, but it neither assigns the material to the object in a material slot, nor renames the material to something convenient. If you have many elements, you'll find yourself digging through "HUDinator_Material.001" through "HUDinator_Material.100" guessing at which material it is you're supposed to be editing.

Enough with the complaints though, great product and I'll be using it for awhile, by the look of things. Great work!

Thank you for such a long and comprehensive comment. When creating this add-on I wanted it to give a lot of customization options but also not to be too overwhelming especially for less advanced users.

I have a lot of ideas for expanding it and this will definitely happen in future updates. In particular, moving text is something that will be refined first.

As for materials I recommend the following practice: when you duplicate a material to make it individual and you want to use it also in another element then press the trash button and from the list select that material. You will then avoid the situation where you will have several of the same materials in the project that differ only in name. For example, when creating a project from a photo with a white HUD, I finished it having 5 materials in the list.
