[Gn] Procedural Drainage Gutter System
ABOUT
This procedural generator creates gutter pipes based on simple mesh line connections, making the work process fast and playful. The resulting mesh comes with UV coordinates that can be used for texturing. Some materials are already included.

WORKFLOW
music by SappheirosThe whole system works on mesh edges, NOT curves, because the latter allows no branching. Use one of my objects as a starting point or start by creating a single vertex (Select all vertices of a created plane and collapse them by pressing "M"). Editing the shape works by selecting a vertex and extruding it with "E". This will result in a new edge. After pressing "E" you can press X,Y, or Z to lock the extrusion to one axis. To add a point in between two points, select both vertices of the edge, rightclick and choose subdivide. The newly created vertex is no corner and no endpoint. These are the pre-conditions for vertices to be viable as a drain. Those can be extruded downwards to create a drain.
