Dermis: A Multi-Level Sss Principled Shader For Cycles

by fridje in Surfacing

What renderers does this shader work with?

This shader was built for Cycles, which means it works with Eevee by extension, although it's probably overkill to use it in Eevee.

Can you add support for x/y/z renderer?

Probably not. This was built using Cycles nodes, at it's heart, its just a glorified collection of node groups. This makes any port to a different rendering engine basically a whole new shader, since it would take a whole new set of nodes from that renderer to create. If a renderer has a cycles converter/interpreter built in (e.g. Radeon Pro Render, LuxCoreRender) it might be able to create an approximation of the shader, but it wouldn't work as intended.
