With these nodes you can easily project instances on objects by drawing curves and create your own procedural systems. The elements will capture the normals of the surface and rotate accordingly.
There is also a nodegroup that projects a ribbon onto a surface where th UVs follow the curve, this makes it possible to easily map textures or image elements onto your models.
