Very erratic for a precision tool. Trying to draw rectangles or circles on cubes it might draw it so it creates a face on the cube or it might draw it 3 feet in front or exactly on top of the face. The only thing that works reliably is the measure and snapping to that guide, which is very helpful and that's going to be all I'll use it for. I know it says Beta, but it said that for two years now. If it only claimed to measure and snap to those guides I'd give it 5 stars and say it was worth the money, but it claims too much.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had some issues. Circles and rectangles drawing off of a cube's face is a bug I've never had reported before. If you can fill out a bug report on my website, it would be really useful to help track this issue down so I can fix it. I respond to every bug report I recieve.

Construction Lines has been in Beta for a long time because of the regular updates with new features. I recently put out a post to say that there will be no more major new features until after version 1.0 which will bring it out of Beta. At the moment, all development is focused on stability and performance.

A bit slow [on my [B3D3.1.2] but very nice pack of tools.

An excellent and absolutely essential tool for people
wanting to work precisely, this CAD tool is what Blender lacked, it is also a time saver.

    Thank You Daniel.

By the way, it also works with Blender 3.2, you can add this information to the supported Software Version.

Thank you, Vincent. Great comments indeed!

Thanks for pointing this out. I'll be releasing an update in the next couple of weeks, so I'll be sure to update the platform compatibility to include 3.2.

This add-on adds great CAD tools in Blender, but I have some problems with it:
    1) When I click on "Construction lines" to use the tools, my Blender performance DROPS tremendously. My cursor is moving at like 0,50 frame per second. I don't know if it's because it's trying to snap to object/face/edge etc., but it's barely usable and (if) registers a click after 2-3 seconds. My hardware is old, but I never see such performance drop in Blender, no matter what I do. Even cloth sim is running more smoothly.
    2) I can't make the "Draw line" tool work as intended. For example, when I draw a cube and draw a rectangle on one of the faces, so I can push it and make a hole in the cube, sometimes it doesn't divide the face and I can't select the newly drawn rectangle. Sometimes it divides the face as it should.
    3) The "Measure/guide" tool is my biggest gripe, because I'm using it the most. It literally doesn't even register my clicks 80% of the time; jumps around when I stop moving my mouse; jumps around when I click to start the measurement and snaps to the wrong thing.
Even if I disable most of the snaps and leave a single one turned on, it still doesn't register most of the time my clicks or snaps them to the wrong thing even if I zoom in a lot.

Overall I would recommend the add-on and I don't regret my purchase, but, as all things in this world, has room for improvement. Kudos to the developer for bringing the tools that Blender is missing.

Thanks for the rating and comments. Please contact me on my support page https://www.dndrawings.com/feedback These issues are likely simple to resolve. The performance may well be resolved with some changes in preferences. Let me know what your system is and I can tell you which ones.

Like it a lot, but could you add a ability to snap the cursor to the absolute world grid of increments of whatever you've set? I need this for Grid Based Game level design. Being able to snap the line tool points perfectly to the grid would be awesome!

Thanks for the rating! Grid snapping is coming in the next version (0.9.7). Lot's of people have asked for this recently, so it's top of my list.

I was an SKP user before, and then I switched to BLENDER. Thank you very much for your development, and look forward to improving the functions in the future.
