Classroom Chair - Stackable

Mid-Century Modern, School Stacking Chair (Inspired by Bruno Pollack)

This is a detailed recreation of a classic mid-century-modern school stacking chair, perfect for architectural visualization or interior design projects. Inspired by the iconic designs of Bruno Pollack, the chair features a tubular steel frame and a minimalist, moulded beechwood seat and backrest, ideal for vintage or industrial-style spaces.

The steel frame is coated in blue paint, with visible rusting details that add a sense of character and wear, bringing a realistic, aged look to your renders. The natural finish of the beechwood complements the rugged metal frame, creating a visually appealing contrast. For simplicity, the rust material is presently tied to location. This is so that if you have multiple instances of the chair in your scene, the rust pattern on each should be different. However, this will look odd if animating the chairs, in which case, just use a different material, or assign the material to the instance in a different way.

Features:

  • Stackable Design: This chair is stackable, with an XZ offset of ca. 30 x 26mm, perfect for space-saving or storage use in your scenes.  A stacked version of the chair (using Geometry Nodes) is included in the file.
  • Materials: High-quality beechwood texture for the seat and backrest, combined with a weathered blue-painted steel frame. The rust detail is carefully crafted to provide authenticity.
  • Realistic Proportions: Modeled with accurate dimensions and proportions, suitable for classroom, café, or industrial design scenes.
  • Easy to Use: Ready to render in Blender with optimized geometry and realistic PBR materials.

Usage: This versatile chair is suitable for a variety of settings, including retro-themed interior designs, classrooms, or any space that calls for a touch of mid-century industrial charm. Ideal for both individual pieces or stacked for efficient storage and display.
