Classic Great Hall With Tower - Church With Interior
(this is written for blender 3.4.0)
Cycles rendering:
When creating a interior render, make sure to only turn on the lights of the groups that are actually visible. This will reduce noise and improve image quality.
EEVEE BAKING
If you made changes to the scene/lighting and you wish to rebake the realtime eevee lighting, here is a small checklist on how to do it:
1. Go to the world tab and click ''use nodes'' on the HDRI (make sure the sky shows as a bland blue sky, no HDRI visible)
2. Disable the complete ''not bake'' collection from renders (by clicking the camera icon).
3. Make sure that all lights are turned on.
4. if you want a faster bake, you can lower the shadow resolution cube size to 64px, and the cascade size to a minimum of 512px (lower will cause lightleaks). Less lightbounces help too
5. Click ''bake indirect lighting'', this can take several hours depending on your hardware.
6. Click ''use nodes'' on the sky again, to turn back on the HDRI to be used as a background
7. Make sure to save the file after the bake is done, otherwise the rendered data is gone.
8. You can now turn on ''not bake'' and use it for renders.
