Blender LUTs Add-on Documentation

Overview

Blender LUTs is a versatile add-on developed by alexdepario for Blender's Compositor. This tool allows users to seamlessly change their renders by applying Lookup Tables (LUTs) to enhance colors, add effects, and manipulate images effortlessly.

Installation

1. Download the "blender_luts.zip" file containing the add-on.
2. Launch Blender.
3. Go to Edit > Preferences.
4. Click on the Add-ons tab.
5. Click the Install... button and navigate to the location of the downloaded zip file.
6. Select the zip file and click Install Add-on.
7. Enable the add-on by ticking the checkbox next to "Blender LUTs" in the add-ons list.
8. Click Save Preferences to confirm the installation.

Usage

Accessing the LUTs Panel

To use the Blender LUTs add-on, follow these steps:

1. Open Blender.
2. Switch to the Node Editor.
3. In the Node Editor, select the Compositing workspace or create a new one.
4. Press N to open the Sidebar panel.
5. In the Sidebar panel, navigate to the LUTs tab.

Applying LUTs

The LUTs panel displays a list of available nodes representing different effects and adjustments. You can add these nodes to your compositing setup by clicking on their names.

Adding Nodes

Click on the name of the desired node to add it to the compositor. The node will be added with default settings and can be further adjusted according to your requirements.

Error Handling

If a selected node is not found or if there are no node groups available, an error message will be displayed in the Blender interface.
