    There is some pretty significant incorrect information in the first 2 videos, which is as far as I have watched thus far. L is not "select all" it's "select linked" and chooses every vertex/edge/face linked to the original selection. A is select all.

    Additionally, "vert" is short for vertex or vertices. What you refer to as 'verts' are edges (as in, the edges of a polygon), and what you call 'nodes' are vertices. As a course for beginners, teaching people non-standard terminology for basic objects is something to be mindful of.
