  I purchased this model & it is so difficult to use because the lip can't be removed from the mesh or edited, not sure what the modeler did but made it very difficult to use.

  hi, sorry for the confusion, you mean the tongue? try going into edit mode (tab key), select the lip vertices with the "L" key and then hit "P" to separate the selected mesh from the shoe mesh, you can edit easier that way.
