In-Out Modern Office Buildings Collection
Collection of 45 office buildings with basic interiors and cleared entrances (stairs included), populated with a few assets. Meshes, materials and textures optimized for realtime usage.
Each one of the buildings (named In-Out Modern building B01, D03, D07, etc.) can be found being part of the _IN-Out Modern City Sector A, Sector B, Sector C & Sector D_, the _ABCD District_, and as single products here on Blender Market.
The Blender native file format includes the most complex shaders and the best arrangement of assets. It also includes a custom Geometry Nodes tree for procedural pipe creation. Cycles render is used for preview images. Asset Library included: all buildings and materials are available as Assets for an easier linking/append into existing Blender files. Check the Usage section below for more info.
Unreal Engine scene added with all buildings sorted. The doors are instanced actors detached from the rest of the meshes, with pivots properly placed to allow manipulation. All meshes have complex collisions enabled.
There are 625 total unique meshes, around 35 and 350 objects
including instances for building. They are all descriptively named and
located inside Collections by type (Basic Meshes, Props, Lights,
Cameras, auxiliary assets).
The meshes have 1,652,727 polygons and 2,332,366 vertices overall, so that each building has an average of 36,700 polys and 51,800 vertices. Real world scale, units: meters.
161 Metallic/Roughness PBR materials provided. Meaningfully named. Material instances are widely used in the Unreal version, hence only 5 master materials are provided.
185 authored textures used across all models. They are commonly 2K resolution JPEGs. Normal Maps are OpenGL, and have their green channel flipped in Unreal shaders. The only Height Map provided is a 16 bit PNG. Linked with relative or stripped paths, textures should be in the same folder and level of the 3D file.
Mesh UV coordinates: UVmap1 for general texturing purposes; UVmap2 for non-overlapping UVs; UVmap3 for side-faces only, aligned to world for advanced layered texturing (this last channel is not always present)
No additional software needed to open or manage the archives or their contents. The scenes include a CC0 HDRi for rendering them out of the box; original HDR images used in the renders are not included.
USAGE
For the Unreal Engine Scene, download the ASOFI package and place it unzipped inside your Unreal Projects folder. For packages other than Unreal (blend, fbx, gltf, obj, dae or usdc), download the textures and the file format you need and put them together in the same folder before opening the files.
To setup the Asset Library, just download the ASOFI-ASSET-LIBRARY archive and unpack it somewhere. Textures are included. In Blender, go to Edit menu > Preferences > File Paths, and add the path of the just unzipped folder to the Asset Libraries subpanel. Save the preferences pressing the button at the botton left of the window and exit. The new assets should appear in the Asset Browser. To fully edit a placed building, select it and press Ctrl+A (Apply context menu) -> Make Instances Real, or move its Collection outside the Collection Instance containing it in the Outliner, after using ID Data > Make Local if necessary.
