Bullet Simulator

by anticode in Modifier Setups

This geometry nodes bullet simulator accurately simulates bullets and most* of their related physics. The simulator calculates gravity, wind influence, and atmospheric resistance all completely adjustable in the modifier tab. The frames are sub-stepped during the firing process so that bullets are always shot at the exactly correct time. Just parent the object to the barrel of your gun and simulate!

Easily add the simulator to any gun you need to modify and it'll work right out of the box - though you should replace the objects in the collections to make it look better in your scene.

The simulator handles every fire rate perfectly, from 1 rpm to 100,000 rpm (although I don't recommend it for performance reasons) and lets you fire as many projectiles at a time as you want (12 gauge shotgun with 10,000 rpm, anyone?). Toggle firing with the "Shoot" switch easily, no need to adjust the fire rate.

Easily add scorch marks and debris to your scene, with full control over their visuals, even allowing for lingering glows during initial impacts.

Debris spews forth from your impact point. Easily control the objects and materials that emit, and how long they kick around for.
