3D Anatomy Skeleton + Simplified Base For Artists

by Thivolan3D in Models

An amazing resource for those in need of a 3d reference for anatomy studies! The skeleton model has all the major and minor points needed to know the ins and outs of anatomy while the base model will help you navigate the basic proportions and forms.

This model is perfect for understanding the base anatomy and proportions as I have made use of the standard measuring for the average male figure ~8 heads high. This version also includes the simplified version of the skeleton for easier use within your projects if you're just interested in the proportions and forms of the skeleton.

WHAT DO I GET?

  • FBX, OBJ, .Blend ZPR and ZTL files
  • 1 Detailed merged skeleton model (OBJ)
  • 1 Detailed separated skeleton model (named bones FBX)
  • 1 Simple merged skeleton model (OBJ)
  • 1 Simple separated skeleton model (named bones FBX)
  • Blend file with the skeletons + render setup
  • Zbrush ZPR and ZTL with Separated bones

PLEASE NOTE that the skeleton zbrush files will require ZBrush 2024 and up to open. The other files can be opened in any program supporting OBJ and FBX Formats. Also, the blend files include everything in the Zbrush files.

FAQ:

References used to make the models?

For this sculpt i made plenty use of medical anatomy books (Sobotta Atlas, Anatomy an essential textbook, Richer), artist references (Goldfinger, Loomis, Bammes, Proko), 3d models/ real skeletons AND my own knowledge of the human body built up from years of sculpting/ drawing the figure.

Is the mesh one complete piece?

These models have separate bones that represent the real life counterpart; this means each model is fully articulate. If you want/ need to move things around it will be no problem!

Are the models 3d Print ready?

These models have been prepared with 3d print in mind but they are not print ready. They are relatively solid but a bit of tweaking will be required before that!

Are the models textured?

No. They do come with materials in blender, however (as seen on the images). The models are used to study the forms and anatomy so I've prioritised this over texturing and rendering.
